Before you start

Check which top you have. The three kits differ only by the connector.

• Hardtop — you already have the washer plumbing this kit taps into.
• Soft top — must be hardtop ready. A rare early batch was built without the rear plumbing and will not work.
• Dual Top — run both. You get both connectors, so the kit keeps working when you swap.

To check a soft top, look in the back of your vehicle for this fitting and connector.

Tools

• Trim panel removal tools
• Lug wrench or the factory tire iron, for the three lug nuts
• A second person, for lifting the spare

Your connector

Installation

1. Remove the spare tire

Take off the three lug nuts and lift the spare clear.

2. Remove the trim panels

Centre piece, left side, right side, then the panel on the back of the door. Pull softly — they are clipped and pop free on their own.

3. Disconnect the washer connector

Fit your connector in line, so the factory feed keeps working.

4. Route the tubing

Down the left side, across the bottom, then halfway up the right — stop where the wire bundle runs.

5. Along the back of the door

Follow the factory wiring channel and pass the tube through the circled hole.

6. Cut the tube

Cut once you reach the far side of the hole.

7. Push the line through the vent

8. Connect the two lines

The ball valves arrive already set the right way round. Nothing to turn — connect it as it comes.

9. Test before reassembly

Panels still off, run the rear washer and check every joint. A leak found now costs a minute. Found later it costs the whole job.

10. Reassemble

Reverse order: back of the door, right, left, centre piece. Check the tube is not pinched. Spare tire last — it goes on at an angle, two people again.
